Which tarot card am I

June 26th, 2008 by Klink

You are The Hierophant

Divine Wisdom. Manifestation. Explanation. Teaching.

All things relating to education, patience, help from superiors. The Hierophant is often considered to be a Guardian Angel.

The Hierophant’s purpose is to bring the spiritual down to Earth. Where the High Priestess between her two pillars deals with realms beyond this Earth, the Hierophant (or High Priest) deals with worldly problems. He is well suited to do this because he strives to create harmony and peace in the midst of a crisis. The Hierophant’s only problem is that he can be stubborn and hidebound. At his best, he is wise and soothing, at his worst, he is an unbending traditionalist.

“Unnatural Selection” and Other stuff

“Unnatural Selection”, originally uploaded by Klink Epsilon.

If you haven’t already you should check out Brooklyn is Watching.

Brooklyn is Watching is a project that exists partially in Second Life and partially in Jack the Pelican Presents, an art gallery in the williamsburg neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York.

The view from the project’s avatar, Monet, an eyeball who lives in the tower, will be on a large flat screen monitor in the Gallery at all times. Visitors to the gallery will be able to control Monet and use him to watch whatever happens in front of the tower.

Currently I have a Installation there which is called Unnatrual Selection. This week my work was featured on their blog and podcast.

In other news I’m currently looking at adding a 2nd gallery to our sim dedicated to just my work and a guest artists work. The Forge Gallery we currently have will be a art collection gallery. Since myself and Sunny have a huge art collection between us, it’s a shame to let all that art work just stay in our inventories.

new work, brooklyn is watching and stuff

June 12th, 2008 by Klink

I have a new piece up at Brooklyn is watching again called “Oculatus”

Oculatus
I have always wanted to draw/paint this piece but I felt something was missing from it if I went about and drew/painted it. So now I have created a “virtual painting” that will react to the viewer being inside it and also becoming a part of the painting

This has been mentioned on the BIW website and will be discussed on their next podcast. Check it out here

A big thank you goes to my love Sunshine who named the piece. Also thanks to Amy Freelunch for writing about my werk and the rest of the BIW crew for pod-casting about my work :D
I need to blog MOAR when I’m not creating art

Anyways

Much Love

Update:Current Projects

April 30th, 2008 by Klink

I decided to complete the groundwork for the 2nd project tonight and here it is:

The Internet Verse
http://theinternetverse.wordpress.com/ also http://twitter.com/internetverse

What is the Internet Verse?

The Internet Verse is a social media art experiment in poetry. The idea is to use social media to create a set of poems.

How will it work?

I will choose a theme or title for a poem. Using Google’s blog search, I will select 10 random blogs associated with the theme or title. By entering the 10 selected blogs into a RSS reader, I will select random words from each blog, which will then form the poem.

Twitter

In addition, a Twitter account has been setup under the name “internetverse” . Anyone can suggest a name, words or theme/title for the poem.

To do this, type @internetverse in the what are you doing box followed by your choice in yourtitlehere or word in yourwordhere.

So there you go! This will be an ongoing project and will evolve over time so we will see what happens :D

Current Projects

April 29th, 2008 by Klink

I have two projects at the moment I’m working on:

1. Art installation in Second Life®

Unnamed at the moment I will reveal the name of it when I’m close to finishing it. However, I can tell you it will have it’s own ambient soundtrack I’m composing and tweaking at the moment. I have a couple of tracks still to compose, but I’m doing good on that front.

2.  Social Media art experiment

I am working on this at moment. I’m trying to get started by the end of the week. I will post the link to this blog once I am set up and ready :D.

That is all.

Woot! I have a new blog. I needed a place on the web to focus my thoughts about my art and other people’s art as well. Over the few weeks I will be adding some new WordPress blogs just for my projects and linking them back to here. So keep your eyes peeled….

Much Love,

Klink
